- Have enough savings to support yourself and your family.

1. What is Alberta PNP and how is it different from Express Entry?
Alberta PNP (or AAIP) is a special immigration program run by the province of Alberta. It lets the province choose skilled workers based on its own job needs. Express Entry is a federal system, but Alberta can invite candidates from that pool through some of its streams.
2. Do I need a job offer to apply for Alberta PNP?
Not always. Some streams, like the Alberta Express Entry Stream, may not need a job offer. But having one increases your chances, especially if it’s in a high-demand field.
3. Can I apply from outside Canada?
Yes. Many people apply while living outside Canada. But candidates already working in Alberta might have an advantage in some streams.
4. Is Alberta a good place to live and work?
Yes. Alberta offers strong job opportunities in healthcare, trades, tech, and natural resources. It also has no provincial sales tax and a relatively lower cost of living compared to cities like Toronto or Vancouver.
5. How can I increase my chances of getting invited?
Focus on gaining experience in Alberta’s priority sectors, improve your English or French, get your educational credentials assessed, and keep your Express Entry profile updated.
