Quebec announced the opening of a new portal to facilitate the evaluation and recognition of foreign educational credentials.

Funded by Quebec Immigration, this portal – QualificationsQuebec.com helps the users to check if their occupation needs any regulatory licensing and what would be the requirements to assess their education, work experience, and training. The portal will also indicate the respective accredited organizations that are responsible to provide these assessments.

Another salient feature of this portal would be to highlight job opportunities and prospects for the selected profession within the Quebec region.

The portal goes a step further and offers the assistance of counselors who can assist the visitors with their search for information.
The portal is available in French and English languages and is equipped to provide information on a vast number of occupations.

Quebec is gearing up for the effective launch of its new online portal to accept and process the EOI and applications under the renewed Quebec Skilled Worker Program

Quebec’s new application system named Arrima was expected to be launched in September by may not be available until later this month or earlier next month.
Arrima will manage the profiles of interested candidates submitted through the Regular Skilled Worker Program or QSWP as it is called.
This new EOI based system is touted as being efficient in its process and processing times are estimated to be 12months for the successful applications.
