Ontario Targeted Occupation Draw – 02nd Feb 2021

Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP), uses the Express Entry pool, to search and identify suitable candidates, who may meet the criteria under its very popular Human Capital Priorities Stream.
This blog talks about the details, of the recent OINP General Draw that was conducted today, the 2nd of February 2021, under its Human Capital Priorities Stream.

Ontario has conducted a long-awaited General Draw, under its Express Entry linked Human Capital Priorities Stream. Invited candidates have received individual notifications of interest, to apply for a provincial nomination, which, will further lead to their ability to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Today, a total of 283 eligible candidates were sent out these notifications of interest. The deciding range of their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was between 466 and 467.

This draw targeted the Express Entry profiles of candidates whose primary occupation code was listed as one of the following 10 NOCs:

NOC0122 – Banking, credit, and other investment managers

NOC0124 – Advertising, marketing, and public relations managers

NOC0125 – Other business services managers

NOC0601 – Corporate Sales managers

NOC1111 – Financial Auditors and Accountants

NOC1112 – Financial and Investment Analysts

NOC1121 – Human Resources Professionals

NOC1122 – Professional occupations in business management consulting

NOC3012 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses

NOC4163 – Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants

Candidates, who have been invited under this draw will have 45 days to submit their nomination application on Ontario’s Immigration portal.

Mandatory Program Requirements:

The invited candidates will need to have a minimum of Canadian equivalence of a Bachelor’s degree, as one of the mandatory requirements.

They will also have to prove, that they have at least 1 year of valid work experience, in the targeted occupation, within the last 5 years.

Besides proving the availability of sufficient settlement funds, candidates must express their intent to reside in the province of Ontario.

Successful applicants will be nominated, and be awarded 600 CRS points in their Express Entry profile.
These additional points will ensure that they receive an invitation to apply from CICC, in the following Express Entry draw, clearing their path to submit their application for Canadian permanent residence.

In the year 2020, Ontario issued 6716 Notifications of Interest under their Human Capital Priorities stream.

The other sub-stream of this program is referred to as the Tech Draw, which targets and invites suitable candidates whose primary occupation codes are related to Information Technology and software development.

Ontario continues to enjoy the largest number of provincial nomination quotas, and it remains the favorite province for most Canadian immigration aspirants.
