Oh boy, Canada’s done it again! They’ve conducted yet another Express Entry draw, this time giving out a whopping 7,000 Invitations to Apply. And get this, it’s their third draw in just 14 days!
Talk about speed, eh?🚀

The draw on March 29 required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score of 481, which is three points lower than the previous draw on March 23.
So, they’re basically just lowering the bar, am I right? 😂🤣

In the last two weeks, Canada has issued a total of 21,000 Express Entry invitations, making it rain with ITAs. These three draws, each with 7,000 ITAs, are the largest all-program draws ever, except for that one-off Covid-inspired draw in February 2021 that saw over 27,000 invites issued.

So, in this most recent draw, Canada implemented the tie-breaking rule on February 14, 2023, at an ungodly hour of 3:35 a.m. EST. If there happened to be more than one candidate with the same minimum CRS score, only those who submitted their Express Entry profiles before that exact date and time got the golden ticket to apply.

This was actually the ninth round of invitations under Express Entry in 2023, and the 245th overall. So, they’re really racking up those numbers, eh?

For those who did receive an invitation, they have a 60-day window to submit their applications. Luckily, it’ll all be processed within the standard six-month timeframe. So, you’ve got plenty of time to get your moose in a row.

But wait, there’s more! This latest draw marks the fifth all-program Express Entry draw of 2023, and they’ve also conducted one draw specifically targeting Federal Skilled Worker candidates and three for Provincial Nominee Program candidates. Talk about being inclusive, eh?

Well, well, well, it seems like IRCC has decided to spice things up and throw predictability out the window in recent months! No more boring, same-old-same-old draw schedule for us, folks! We’re living on the edge now, never knowing when the next draw will drop like a surprise party on our doorstep. It’s like they’re playing a game of “guess when the next draw will be” with us, but we don’t even know the rules! IRCC, you little pascal, keeping us on our toes!

To date, Canada has issued 37,559 ITAs in 2023, following 45,115 invitations issued in the whole of 2022. The IRCC even set a record immigration target of 465,000 for 2023.

All joking aside, Canada’s Express Entry system is an immigration system that manages skilled worker applications under Federal Economic programs, including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the Canada Experience Class, and parts of the Provincial Nomination Programs. So, if you’re looking to immigrate to Canada, now’s your chance!

Ok, so what now?

Well, if you were eligible for this draw, wait until 24 hours to receive your ITA before you panic.
